A commercial and critical triumph, it debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and achieved Platinum certification from the BPI within just three weeks. In the United States, the album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and was also certified Platinum. Widely regarded as one of the defining albums of the 1980s, The Seeds of Love features some of the band's most celebrated recordings, including the hit singles "Sowing the Seeds of Love," "Woman in Chains," "Advice for the Young at Heart," and "Badman's Song.”
This 2LP edition on special effect blue vinyl, pairs the original album with a second disc of demos and rare versions, several of which are appearing on vinyl for the very first time. Housed in a single sleeve featuring alternative sleeve artwork.
